Pulp of madd, single serving size 85gr (sweet sour and spicy flavor). This product contains Natural ingredients. Madd (Saba senegalensis) is a plant species of the family Apocynaceae. It is a species of wild lianas that grows in African savannas and is grown as a shrub. Its fruit is called zaban (bambara or dioula), malombo or makalakonki (in the Congo Basin), madd (in Wolof) and weda (in Moore), or coastal (in Ivory Coast) and still “mkonkar” (in Mandjak). It is a globose shell that contains seeds coated with very soft and juicy yellow pulp. They are tart and sweet. You can taste the fruit as is or season with sugar, salt and pepper. Mixed with water and sugar, the pulp gives a delicious juice. It is not advised to swallow the pit but it is covered with a superficial skin that can be consumed. The fruit is rich in vitamin C. Madd is a very popular fruit, a true delight! Not recommended to children 2 years and below as they might accidentally swallow the pit. Add more spices to personalize it as you desire.
