The mask is an outstanding example of African craftsmanship. Each mask is hand carved from fine mahogany and no two will be exactly alike. A Guro mask represents the spirit of Gu, the wife of Zamble, a supernatural being. The masks are sacred, delicately crafted and used in sacrificial gatherings, funerals, and other celebrations.
